Kalaasangha

In Spring 2023 as a Howard Thurman Center Student Ambassador, I created Kalaasangha. Kalaasangha was a program that aimed to unite the South Asian community in Boston through mindfulness, culture, and creativity. We hosted weekly events that include guided meditations, creative workshops, and community unifying experiences. Some of our events included a talkback for Jado Jehad (a professional play written by a Pakistani playwright and starring an entirely South Asian cast), an Open Community Discussions on Intersectionality alongside SHADES, a community for Queer BIPOC students and an end-of-year ticketed showcase called Satsang which brought in over 100 guests.
